What Is the Language Game?

TutorLingua's language game is a daily challenge that tests your vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension. Think of it like Wordle, but for language learning.

Each day, you get a fresh set of challenges. Complete them to build your streak and climb the leaderboard.

How to Play

  1. Go to the Game page from the main navigation
  2. Choose your language
  3. Work through the day's challenges
  4. Share your results with friends

There's no time limit — take as long as you need. But once you submit an answer, you can't change it.

The 9 Challenge Types

Each game session includes a mix of these challenge types:

1. Translation

Translate a word or phrase from one language to another. Tests vocabulary recall and sentence structure.

2. Fill in the Blank

Complete a sentence with the correct word. Great for grammar and contextual understanding.

3. Multiple Choice

Pick the correct answer from four options. Covers vocabulary, grammar, and cultural knowledge.

4. Listening

Listen to an audio clip and answer a question about what you heard. Builds comprehension skills.

5. Word Order

Arrange scrambled words into the correct sentence. Tests your understanding of sentence structure.

6. Matching

Match words or phrases to their translations or definitions. Quick-fire vocabulary practice.

7. Conjugation

Give the correct verb form based on the subject and tense. Essential for mastering grammar.

8. Dictation

Listen and type exactly what you hear. Sharpens both listening and spelling skills.

9. Picture Description

Describe what you see in an image using the target language. Practises creative expression.

Streaks

Complete the daily game to build your streak. Your streak counter shows how many consecutive days you've played.

  • 7-day streak — You're building a habit
  • 30-day streak — Serious commitment
  • 100-day streak — Language legend status

Missing a day resets your streak to zero, so keep it going!

Leaderboards

See how you stack up against other learners on the weekly and all-time leaderboards. Points are awarded based on:

  • Accuracy — Correct answers score higher
  • Speed — Faster completions earn bonus points
  • Streak — Longer streaks multiply your score

Leaderboards reset weekly, so everyone gets a fresh start.

Sharing Your Results

After completing the daily game, you'll see a results summary with your score and streak. Click Share to post your results to:

  • WhatsApp
  • Instagram Stories
  • X (Twitter)
  • Or copy the link to share anywhere

Your results are shown as a spoiler-free grid — just like Wordle — so you can brag without giving away the answers.

Tips for Better Scores

  1. Play every day — Consistency beats intensity
  2. Don't rush — Accuracy is worth more than speed
  3. Review mistakes — Tap on wrong answers to see the correct one
  4. Try different languages — You can play in multiple languages each day
  5. Compete with friends — Share your link and challenge them
